Commitment to
Dignity

Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

Pi Omicron Chapter at Austin Peay State University has come a long way since the fall of 2014. Since rechartering on November 23, 2014, we have built a reputation for ourselves as one of the most diverse chapters with the best sisterhood on campus. That is something we are proud of and have worked hard to achieve. Here in AOII, it’s not about the amount of trophies we win in intramurals, how many philanthropy weeks we’ve won, or where we place in Homecoming. Yes, we’ve done well in all of these areas, but for us, we keep our focus on the individual member. We believe if we help develop the woman and inspire her to achieve all of her ambitions, the intramural championships, the banner competitions and placing first in philanthropy events will follow. We believe if our values are instilled in each member, philanthropy and community service is fulfilling and extremely rewarding.

Pi Omicron’s chapter motto is “progressing onward,” and that is something we do every day. Through the good times and the bad, we have a sisterhood that is always uplifting, always encouraging, always supportive. With sisters like this, anything is possible. Our chapter has been more successful in the short time we’ve been here than anyone dreamed possible and that is something we are humbled by. We are thankful for the opportunities AOII has brought us and we hope you are excited about the opportunities it can give to you, too.

Loyal Forever,

Morgan Talley
